Fanzine project

“Tejer” (which means “to knit”) is my latest project, still in progress. In exploring the risograph technique further, I took one of my short stories and illustrated it to create this digital preview of the zine!

This zine is a short story about how we move through life, comparing it to knitting and the way spiders weave their own webs.

This preview is provisional, as the printing method will slightly alter the final appearance. However, the main stylistic goal is to play with bold colors and shadows made with metallic gold .

“Out Loud”

Project from the Animation Bachelor’s Degree in LCI Barcelona

"Out Loud" stems from my own story about gender expression in childhood. It is a letter to my past self, a reflection on roles and stereotypes from a humorous and fresh perspective.

Lifetime

“Lifetime” is the final project of the LCI Barcelona Animation’s Degree, where I collaborated with a five-member team to produce an animated short film from scratch.

I specialized in production, while also contributing to scriptwriting, storyboarding, animation and post-production.

After the private presentation in Phenomena Experience Cinema, the film premiered at Sitges Festival, and garnered seven nominations.

SYNOPSIS

Clara, a tender and genuine teenager whose life is joyful and easygoing, experiences unexpected and tragic news that will make her reconsider the meaning of her life and make the most out of it.

Hey there! I’m Alexandra Sörensen, but everyone calls me Alex :)

I’m a 2D artist based in Barcelona, and I hold a degree in Animation from LCI Barcelona. My main focus is Visual Development and illustration, where I thrive on discovering the unique personality of each project and creating characters and worlds that bring it to life.

I love crafting charming illustrations, experimenting with techniques, shapes, and color palettes to create diverse and impactful results. Traditional media often makes me lose track of time, and I end up creating a beautiful mess!

Recently, I worked as a production assistant on a stop-motion film, where I gained valuable experience and further developed my organizational and communication skills.
